Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP is seeking a Cloud Firewall Test Engineer to design and execute automated tests across UI, API, and integration levels using Playwright with Python. The role emphasizes reliability, security, and maintainability in a microservices cloud firewall platform.

You will build end-to-end and API test suites, contribute to CI/CD, and collaborate with engineers and product owners to ensure quality gates.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years in QA/Test Engineering, SDET, or software testing.
• Strong hands-on Python for automation.
• Experience using Playwright for UI automation.
• Experience with REST APIs and distributed systems testing.
• Understanding of cloud networking/security concepts.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end and API tests using Playwright with Python.
• Validate cloud firewall capabilities: policy management, rule behavior, logging, authentication flows.
• Build layered coverage across microservices to reduce flaky tests.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD with parallel runs and artifacts.
• Troubleshoot failures using logs, traces, and root-cause analysis.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate test authoring and triage.
