Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Cloud Firewall Test Engineer to validate the quality, reliability, and security of a cloud-delivered firewall platform built on microservices. You will design and execute automated tests across UI, API, and integration layers using Playwright with Python, and leverage AI-assisted tooling to speed up testing while ensuring robust coverage.

Hybrid role with an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years in QA/Test Engineering, SDET, or Software Engineering with strong testing focus.
• Strong hands-on Python for automation beyond scripting.
• Experience testing web APIs (REST) and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud networking/security concepts.
• Git-based workflows and test reporting in CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience testing security and networking products.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end and API test suites using Playwright with Python.
• Validate cloud firewall capabilities in a microservices environment.
• Build layered coverage across microservices to reduce flaky tests.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines with logs and artifacts.
• Collaborate with engineers and product owners on acceptance criteria.
• Troubleshoot failures, perform root-cause analysis, and prevent regressions.
