Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an experienced test automation engineer to develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts across multiple user roles and workflows. You will design UI automation with Playwright and ensure coverage aligns with release objectives.

You will lead automation initiatives, integrate testing into CI/CD and DevSecOps, perform peer reviews, and communicate results, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders at each release cycle. Remote work options may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or enterprise systems.
• At least two (2) years of experience supporting AWS-based workloads.
• Bachelor’s degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience performing manual and automated testing, including defect documentation and regression testing.
• Strong experience developing test automation using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript, API testing, Swagger, and Postman.
• Experience designing and integrating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions with AWS services.
• Proficiency testing applications built with AWS, including Vue.js, Python, Django, and Amazon S3.
• Ability to work remotely while collaborating and mentoring team members.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments and Well-Architected Framework.
• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident; able to obtain public trust.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts across multiple user roles and workflows.
• Design and implement UI automation using Playwright, ensuring automated test coverage is reliable, maintainable, and aligned with release objectives.
• Lead test automation initiatives, including the integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes.
• Conduct peer reviews of test automation code to promote quality, consistency, and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Communicate test execution results, defects, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders during each release cycle.
