Job summary

EchoStar seeks a finance professional to drive cloud and on‑prem cost visibility, connecting engineering, finance, and leadership to align roadmaps with budgets and GAAP standards.

The role uses automation and data analysis to shorten close cycles, resolve spending anomalies, and establish a single source of truth for cloud asset allocations across multi‑cloud and on‑premises environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of financial analysis experience in tech or telecom environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain TBM cost allocations and tagging standards across multi-cloud and on-premises footprint.
• Deliver monthly cloud spend forecasts and variance analyses for capacity planning.
• Identify idle resources and execute right-sizing to report savings.
• Reconcile vendor invoices and manage month-end close including accruals and prepaids.
• Automate reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation workflows using SQL and scripting.
• Apply AI tools to improve cost forecasting, anomaly detection, and data reconciliation.
