Job summary

Empower invites a Lead Analyst, Cloud Financial Operations to manage financial reporting for enterprise data platforms, tracking budgets, expenses, forecasts, run rates, and other key cost metrics.

This role will partner with platform leaders, procurement, vendor management, and finance to consolidate cost information, analyze variances, and drive cost optimization across AWS and other cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years cloud FinOps or cloud financial management experience.
• Strong Excel skills for budgeting and modeling.
• Experience with cloud cost management and reporting (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Ability to combine data from multiple sources and tell the story behind costs.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting for enterprise data platforms including budgets and forecasts.
• Build an inventory of platform expenses, cloud usage, contracts, and renewals.
• Analyze spending vs. budget and identify cost drivers and variances.
• Monitor AWS and other cloud costs to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with platform leaders, procurement, finance, and vendors to validate data.
• Develop dashboards and financial models to guide decisions.
• Support renewal planning and future capacity and cost projections.
• Expand reporting across additional data platform environments as needed.
