Job summary

Empower Retirement, LLC is seeking a Lead Analyst, Cloud Financial Operations to oversee the financial management of our enterprise data platforms. You will provide visibility into cloud spending, manage budgets and forecasts, track expenses and contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities for our technology initiatives.

You will collaborate with platform leaders, procurement, finance, and other stakeholders to develop dashboards and models that translate cloud costs into actionable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, business, IS or analytics.
• 5+ years Cloud FinOps or equivalent cloud/tech financial management experience.
• Strong Excel skills for organizing, reconciling, and modeling finances.
• Experience budgets, expenses, forecasts, run rates, contracts and metrics.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure/Google Cloud cost management and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize data from multiple sources.
• Ability to collaborate across tech, procurement, finance and leadership teams.
• Excellent communication of financial trends and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain financial reporting for enterprise data platforms, including budgets, expenses, forecasts, run rates, and other key cost metrics.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive inventory of platform expenses, cloud consumption, contracts, licenses, and renewals to improve financial visibility.
• Analyze actual spending vs budget and provide insights into drivers of cost changes.
• Monitor cloud costs with focus on AWS and opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Gather and consolidate financial data from multiple teams and vendors to form a complete view of platform costs.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and financial models to communicate cloud spend to leaders.
• Support contract and license planning by tracking renewals and utilization.
• Propose cost controls and budgeting process improvements.
• For expanding environments as capabilities mature, extend reporting to additional platforms.
