Job summary

Q2 is seeking a FinOps Lead to build and scale cloud financial management, translating AWS and Azure data into actionable business insights. You will define strategy, tooling, and a culture of cost accountability across Engineering, Finance, and Procurement.

You will forecast cloud spend, implement RI and Savings Plans, and drive cost-efficiency with cross-functional teams. This is a high-impact founding role with a focus on governance, dashboards, and long-term infrastructure planning.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of FP&A, FinOps, or cost analysis experience.
• Proven ability to lead FinOps practice and governance.
• Strong communication and cross-functional partnering skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop forecasting models and financial reporting for cloud spend.
• Design and manage commitment strategies (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans).
• Lead cross-functional optimization initiatives with engineering teams.
• Establish tagging standards and cost allocation frameworks.
• Develop executive dashboards and reporting on cloud cost trends and risks.
• Support vendor negotiations and long-term infrastructure planning.
