Job summary

Indeed is seeking a Director, Business Strategy focused on Cloud FinOps to partner with VP+ leaders across engineering, product, and finance to shape cloud strategy and cost governance. You will manage a nine-figure cloud estate, lead a team, and build financial/technical models to guide multi-year investments.

You will translate complex concepts for C-suite discussions and vendor negotiations. You will foster a decentralized FinOps culture, mentor a FinOps R&D team, and drive cost-aware

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of related experience, or Master’s with 12+ years, or PhD with 8+ years.
• FinOps Practitioner certification required; demonstrated knowledge to manage cloud FinOps to industry standards.
• Experience shaping business strategy, planning, and performance in large organizations.
• Proven ability to drive revenue and cost optimization with P&L influence.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to translate insights into strategy.
• Experience collaborating across functions to align priorities and drive execution.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence senior leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee annual planning, set objectives, and align investments with priorities.
• Lead ongoing business reviews and provide actionable insights to executives.
• Guide investment strategies and resource allocation to hit financial goals.
• Analyze revenue, cost, and metrics to identify opportunities and risks.
• Partner with engineering, product, finance, and platform teams on strategic initiatives.
• Evaluate product strategy, partnerships, and potential acquisitions.
• Drive governance, change management, and continuous program improvement.
