Job summary

ByteDance seeks a Finance Business Partner for Cloud computing resources, embedded within Infrastructure Engineering and Strategic Sourcing. You will build financial models, oversee cloud contracts, and drive FinOps to maximize business value across AI workloads.

Lead cost attribution, budgeting and long-range plans, while ensuring IFRS compliance and tax efficiency in global cloud spend. The role requires Mandarin fluency and strong collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years in Finance/Accounting with cloud/infrastructure/data center experience.
• Advanced financial modeling skills (Excel/Google Sheets) and familiarity with FinOps frameworks.
• Able to translate technical metrics (e.g., GPU latency, Kubernetes) into EBITDA impact.
• Proven resilience in high-growth, fast-paced environments with a collaborative and inclusive working style.
• Mandarin fluency is required for cross-border collaboration with China-based stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex TCO models to evaluate multi-year cloud commitments across providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Drive data-led negotiations with hyperscalers and OEMs to optimize pricing.
• Implement tagging/metadata to ensure cost transparency across AI workloads.
• Establish and track unit economics like Cost per 1k Tokens and Cost per MAU.
• Partner with DevOps to maximize commitment coverage and spot utilization.
