Job summary

ByteDance seeks a Finance Business Partner (FBP) for Cloud computing resources embedded in Infra Engineering and Strategic Sourcing. You will craft financial plans, model cloud economics, and drive FinOps initiatives to maximize value from AI and cloud investments.

You will translate technical metrics into EBITDA impact, negotiate with hyperscalers, and own the global cloud budget with IFRS compliance. Mandarin fluency and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of Finance/Accounting experience with Cloud/Infrastructure focus.
• Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel/Sheets; familiarity with FinOps tools.
• Translate technical metrics into EBITDA/ROI narratives.
• Mandarin fluency required to align with China-based stakeholders.
• US work authorization; sponsorship not provided.
• CPA/ACCA or equivalent preferred; SQL or Python for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex TCO models for multi-year cloud commitments.
• Lead data-led negotiations with hyperscalers and OEMs.
• Implement tagging/metadata for cost transparency across workloads.
• Establish and track unit economics like cost per 1k tokens/MAU.
• Partner with DevOps to maximize commitment coverage and Spot usage.
• Own global cloud budgeting and monthly variance analysis.
• Translate engineering roadmaps into long-range financial plans.
• Ensure IFRS compliance for cloud contracts and R&D capitalization.
• Optimize cross-border cloud billing and transfer pricing.
