Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks an AOC Application Transformation Senior SME / Cloud Engineer in Hampton, VA. This role leads cloud migration and integration of legacy AOC WS 10.1 and third-party apps to the cloud using DevSecOps practices.

You will guide architecture, CI/CD, and testing across Agile teams, ensuring secure, scalable delivery for air operations deployments and future business development efforts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT with cloud engineering and DevSecOps.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud migration, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Active Top Secret security clearance; TS/SCI eligibility strongly preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain device configuration procedures per mission requirements and security policies; coordinate with vendors.
• Support cloud capability operations and integration, including Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Perform routine maintenance of environments with cloud capabilities and apply security patches per ATO conditions.
• Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams through proposal, design and delivery phases.
• Coordinate staffing, supplier relationships, and technical requirement definition across departments.
• Assist in integrating core services (ADFS, ArcGIS) for cloud platform operations.
• Provide architecture leadership, requirements analysis, and interface definitions for cloud solutions.
