Job summary
Early Warning Services LLC in Chicago, IL, is seeking a technical manager to lead the cloud engineering function and direct the design, development, and operation of our public cloud infrastructure. You will guide the transition of microservices to AWS and ensure scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.
The role requires 10+ years in engineering with 5+ years in leadership, strong AWS experience, and proficiency with Terraform/CloudFormation, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive engineering/architecture experience with leadership responsibilities.
- 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams and building public cloud infrastructure.
- Strong AWS experience; other cloud providers are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and engineering for the company’s transition to the public cloud.
- Migrate microservices from on-premises to AWS and manage end-to-end cloud projects.
- Oversee 24x7x365 operational support of cloud-based systems and applications.
- Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and DevOps practices across the team.
