Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Atlanta hosts a 12-week paid IT internship at the Atlanta Tech Hub, offering hands-on projects and mentorship. Interns work within the Cloud DevOps team, gaining exposure to automation, scripting, and infrastructure management across North America and Canada.

You will collaborate on CI/CD improvements, Kubernetes-based deployments, and monitoring setups while documenting processes and learning best practices in a real-world business setting.

Qualifications

Build a Career

In the IT department by:

• Automation and Scripting: Write and maintain scripts using languages like Python or Bash to automate routine tasks, such as deployments and server provisioning.
• Infrastructure Management: Assist in managing our cloud infrastructure on platforms like GCP using Kubernetes. This includes helping with Kubernetes, virtual machine, container management using Docker.
• CI/CD Support: Work with our engineering teams to improve our CI/CD pipelines. You'll help with building new stages, integrating security scanning tools, and ensuring our code gets from development to production efficiently.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Help set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems to track the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure. Work with other team members to resolve any issues identified.
• Documentation: Create and update clear, concise documentation for our processes and tools, making it easier for the entire team to understand and follow best practices.
