Job summary

Gordon Food Service is offering a 12-week paid IT internship at our Atlanta Tech Hub. You will work with our IT department serving customers, employees and partners across North America, while gaining exposure to multiple areas such as IT, Finance, HR, and Marketing.

You will participate in mentorship programs, networking events, and hands-on projects, with opportunities to shadow various roles and develop professional skills throughout the internship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Must be authorized to work in the US and have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 12-week paid internship within Gordon Food Service's IT department.
• Collaborate with IT teams across North America and Canada on projects and initiatives.
• Shadow roles across the organization to explore potential career paths and mentorship opportunities.

program offers firsthand experience and meaningful projects that have an impact on our business. Working alongside our IT department team that serves our customers, employees, and partners across North America and Canada. Collaborating with other Gordon Food Service interns and employees in the following areas:

• Communications
• Finance
• Accounting

• IT
• Marketing & Merchandising
• Supply Chain
• Revenue Management

Build a Career

In the IT department by:

• Target Alignment: Focuses on helping the team streamline project coordination and documentation.
• Support the coordination of major infrastructure refreshes and large-scale site initiatives (such as the Shepherdsville, Imperial, or Green Oak projects).
• Work within Jira, specifically organization and prioritization
• Assist with site/network documentation that we are lagging behind on due to high priority work taking precedence
