Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Configuration Management, CI/CD, Automation, AWS, Linux systems administration, scripting in Bash and programming in Python, and a background in Big Data solutions.

Qualifications

• Clearance requirement: TS/SCI eligibility; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 2+ years in DevOps or software development; or 0 years with a related Master's; or 6 years with HS diploma.
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda) and their deployment/management.
• Configuration management with Terraform and Ansible.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Comfortable in a terminal-based environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must obtain DoD 8140/8570 compliance (Security+) within 30 days of hire.
• Hybrid work with 2-3 days/week at Columbia, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Automate deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into operations.
• Monitor production systems and troubleshoot to maintain high availability.
• Continuously improve processes and tooling for performance.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
• Other duties as assigned.
