Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge in Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Configuration Management, CI/CD, Automation, AWS, Linux systems administration, Scripting in Bash and Programming in Python, and a background in Big Data solutions.

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the monitoring, reliability

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 0 years of DevOps or software experience with a related bachelor's; or 4 years with a high school diploma.
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration, AWS services (EKS/EC2/EBS/S3/Lambda).
• Configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go; comfortable in a terminal environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication skills; DoD 8140/8570 certs (Security+) within 30 days.
• Hybrid work: 2–3 days/week at the Columbia, MD office; travel to Ft. Meade as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Automate deployment processes and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliability and scale.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate apps into infrastructure.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high availability.
• Continuously improve processes and tools to optimize performance.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends; explore improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
