Job summary

WCI, Inc. is seeking a DevOps Specialist to manage infrastructure, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines, supporting secure software delivery and deployment.

The role requires hands-on AWS, IaC (Pulumi preferred; Terraform acceptable), and scripting in Bash or Python. You will guide software teams, optimize operations, and promote DevSecOps practices in a Sacramento-area, remote-capable organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of AWS core services (IAM, VPC, S3, Lambda, ECS/Fargate).
• Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
• 3+ years IaC with Pulumi; Terraform allowed with willingness to learn Pulumi.
• Proficient in TypeScript for infrastructure/automation code.
• 3+ years in cloud or SaaS operations and managing infrastructure.
• Expertise in software process automation and DevOps security.
• Scripting in Bash or Python for automation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up continuous build environments to accelerate development and deployment.
• Champion DevSecOps principles and practices.
• Plan, test and implement infrastructure and environments.
• Provide guidance and infrastructure support to software teams.
• Monitor, review, streamline and improve technical operations.
• Monitor and inspect automation, version control and security across the pipeline.
• Identify areas for improvement in the dev/deploy lifecycle and propose action plans.
