Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a DevOps-minded engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain infrastructure as code and CI/CD patterns. You will work on containerized product applications and collaborate across teams to implement scalable solutions.

The role requires experience with Linux, IaC (Terraform), container orchestration (Docker & Kubernetes), and cloud exposure (AWS/GCP/Azure). Hybrid work is available in select cities; background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent certifications.
• Typically 2–5 years DevOps, software engineering, or related experience.
• Must be able to work different schedules as part of an on-call rotation.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and understand software environments and network topologies.
• Working and troubleshooting experience on Linux-based applications.
• Demonstrable technical design skills and modern application design experience.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux command line and scripting.
• Knowledge of one or more IaC/automation tools (Terraform, Docker & Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test and debug configuration management patterns and infrastructure as code following SDLC.
• Contribute to requirements analysis and design models for infrastructure and application flow.
• Provide input in design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Write technical specifications based on designs and business needs.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
• Analyze failures and tune the automation pipeline to fix issues and achieve reliable outputs.
• Collaborate with end users and partner teams to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.
• Monitor health of environments and proactively fix issues to improve performance.
• Assist new staff on policies, procedures, and use cases.
• Support and maintain products and add new features; support UAT/production applications as needed.
• Participate in change management processes for implementation.
