Job summary

Cloudbeds, a fully remote team serving the hospitality industry, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to architect and enhance AWS infrastructure and help build the Kubernetes platform. You will automate with IaC, support CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to security and reliability across services.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in AWS DevOps, strong Kubernetes, Terraform, and scripting skills, with excellent English communication and ability to work remotely within the USA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, SQS, CloudWatch, IAM).
• 2+ years of strong experience in Kubernetes (preferably EKS), Helm and Docker.
• Experience with IaC such as Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD/gitops).
• Experience with web app servers (NGINX, Ingress controllers), databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora), caches (Redis, Memcached), and queues (SQS).
• Ability to write Bash/Python scripts.
• Good networking skills.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
• Good team player and ability to work remotely in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Architect and improve Cloudbeds' infrastructure in AWS.
• Help build the Kubernetes platform.
• Automate the platform with IaC and configuration management.
• Drive successful product and engineering projects to production.
• Support software development processes via CI/CD pipelines.
• Evolve system security, reliability, scalability, performance, and quality.
• Share DevOps best practices with development teams and assist in environment configuration from the infrastructure perspective.
• On-call rotation support for production outages.
