Job summary

Omniscius seeks a DevOps/Cloud Engineer Level 1 to support a government program in Laurel, MD. You will help transition and automate applications into cloud environments using AWS, Ansible, and CI/CD, collaborating with admins and developers to ensure secure, scalable operations.

Role emphasizes automating infrastructure, patching, documenting processes, and contributing to Agile development while aligning with security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with 3+ years of software development/engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of cloud technologies experience.
• Hands-on DevOps with CI/CD, automation, and Agile practices.
• Ability to document technical processes clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assess capabilities and identify opportunities to expand DevOps adoption for cloud transformation.
• Collaborate with System Administrators to plan cloud migration and ongoing operations.
• Use Ansible and other automation tools to streamline deployment and operations.
• Plan, test, and deploy security patches and kernel updates.
• Develop deployment plans for application and infrastructure changes in the cloud.
• Support CI/CD processes and automation; participate in Agile activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
