Job summary
Health & Human Services Comm in Austin, TX seeks an Automation Engineer/Systems Analyst VII for its CTO team. The role focuses on technology modernization, AI-enabled automation, and reliable digital transformation, delivering automation utilities, migration scripts, and validation tools.
On-site work from the HHSC office, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across cloud, application, infrastructure, security, and program teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience developing automated scripting pipelines and deployment routines.
- Experience with cloud and infrastructure modernization is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Designs, codes, and implements automation utilities and configuration tooling for modernization activities.
- Develops AI-enabled or rules-based automation to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
- Troubleshoots automation, validation, and pipeline issues to improve runbook accuracy and operational readiness.
- Prepares modernization runbooks, automation playbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
