Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solution Architect in the United States to lead pre-sales and design data architectures using Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow. You will work with customers, product teams, and post-sales groups to identify use cases, architect solutions, and guide deployments that deliver measurable value.

You will travel regionally, partner with the sales team, and provide technical leadership to help customers evaluate and adopt Databricks.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R and debugging.
• Experience supporting Public Sector clients.
• Experience building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in data engineering (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• Expertise in data warehousing (SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS).
• Experience in data science and ML (pandas, scikit-learn, HPO).
• Degree in a quantitative discipline preferred; Top Secret clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to explain how Databricks solves business problems.
• Provide technical leadership for customers evaluating and adopting Databricks.
• Consult on big data architectures and implement proofs of concept.
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demos for customers.
• Promote Databricks open-source projects across developer communities.
• Travel to customers within your region.
