Job summary

EY seeks a Data and Cloud Engineering Manager to transform data and AI capabilities into scalable, reliable production solutions. You will own workstreams, budgets, client interactions and engagement economics while leading cross-functional teams across data engineering, software, AI/ML, architecture and governance.

You will design and run the underlying cloud and container platform, build scalable data pipelines, and ensure availability and performance through Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (4-year degree).
• Typically 4–6 years of relevant experience in data/cloud engineering.
• Proven record operating High Availability services on Azure (4+ years).
• Expert understanding of core Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, AKS, Azure SQL Database.
• Experience designing, deploying and managing container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing SRE standards for resiliency and scalability in Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with SLIs/SLOs and error budgets in delivery practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more technical workstreams and assure delivery quality.
• Translate business requirements into architecture, pipelines and platforms.
• Maintain daily client engagement and identify service opportunities.
• Manage resource plans, budgets and engagement economics.
• Own data pipelines, models and production handoff from source to consumption.
• Automate and optimize processes across data, AI/ML, cloud and governance teams.
• Remain hands-on with version-controlled, observable code in production.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure availability and performance.
• Design and run cloud platforms that application teams rely on in production.
• Build scalable pipelines and streaming architectures using Python/SQL on Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Apply data architecture, quality, security, ontologies and semantic layers.
• Embed governance, observability and operational support across the lifecycle.
