Regions Financial Corporation is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and machine learning models. You will create reusable infrastructure as code, support AI deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable data delivery across Regions’ data platforms.

The role emphasizes cloud-based data engineering, data modeling, and adherence to risk management and cybersecurity practices within a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with 2+ years quantitative/STEM experience, or Master’s with 4+ years, or Bachelor’s with 6+ years.
• Three years of Python, Scala, SQL, and Terraform programming experience.
• Three years of experience with cloud-based Big Data tech such as AWS Glue, EMR, BigQuery, or Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Regions Technology to design, build, and maintain data structures supporting Data & Analytics use cases.
• Build and operate data pipelines and manage storage in Regions’ big data environments.
• Develop data-intensive applications and AI/ML support tools including knowledge base management and document processing.
