Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead capital projects for new builds and upgrades. You will own scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with general contractors and internal teams to ensure safe, reliable data-center infrastructure.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in data-center construction or critical infrastructure, with proficiency in MS Excel and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience moving new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
• Experience with MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals.
• Create construction project scope and RFQ/RFx documents.
• Perform financial analysis of construction projects.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives increasing data center resiliency.
• Review electrical/mechanical designs for constructability and efficiency.
