Job summary

Kustomer is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to own cost optimization across our cloud and AI infrastructure. This role focuses on reducing AWS and AI token spend while maintaining performance and reliability.

You’ll sit with the Foundation team and partner with engineering leadership to drive cost-saving initiatives end-to-end. Responsibilities include right-sizing EC2 fleets, managing Reserved Instances, building dashboards, and collaborating with FinOps to balance cost with speed and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field required.
• 4+ years in AWS infrastructure at scale with cost-reduction track record.
• Experience with AWS cost tools and EC2 rightsizing/reservation strategies.
• Proficiency with Terraform and at least one scripting language.
• Familiarity with LLM/AI infra cost drivers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own AWS cost optimization end-to-end across the platform.
• Right-size EC2 instances and optimize reservations.
• Build dashboards to track infra spend by team/service and flag anomalies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to eliminate waste and over-provisioning.
• Develop tooling for guardrails and observability around token usage.
• Forecast spend with FinOps and align with budgets across engineering teams.
