Job summary

Blitzy, a Cambridge, MA based AI software platform, is seeking a FinOps Engineer to build our cost optimization practice from the ground up. You will own cloud cost governance across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on‑prem environments, partnering with Engineering, Platform, and US Finance to turn infrastructure spend into strategic advantage.

You'll define tagging standards, forecast costs, and develop a cost allocation platform that supports COGS reporting and unit economics, while ensuring reliability

Qualifications

• 4+ years in FinOps, cloud cost optimization, or related role.
• Hands-on cost management across at least two major clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience building dashboards and data pipelines from billing data.
• Knowledge of tagging governance, forecasting, budgeting, and chargeback/showback.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure cost optimization across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on‑prem.
• Build and run a company-wide FinOps practice with governance and reporting.
• Design a cost allocation platform for COGS reporting and unit economics.
• Develop dashboards and data pipelines consolidating billing data.
• Partner with Engineering and Platform teams to embed cost considerations.
