Job summary

Kustomer is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to own cost optimization across our cloud and AI infrastructure. You will drive AWS cost savings, token spend reductions, and tooling to empower engineering teams while maintaining performance and reliability.

You will partner with the Foundations and FinOps groups to build guardrails, dashboards, and scalable processes. The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership and measurable impact on costs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure or cloud cost optimization.
• Experience with AWS cost management and budgeting.
• Strong collaboration with engineering and FinOps teams.

Responsibilities

• Own AWS cost optimization end-to-end: EC2 right-sizing, reservations, spot usage, storage tiering, and cleanup.
• Build dashboards and reports to track infra spend by team/service and flag anomalies.
• Collaborate with engineering to identify waste, over-provisioning, and redundant environments.
• Drive architectural decisions balancing cost, performance, and reliability.
• Use Terraform to codify cost-conscious infrastructure standards.
• Analyze and reduce AI/LLM token spend across the platform.
• Work with Foundations to build guardrails and observability around token usage.
• Report cost trends to engineering leadership and align with FinOps.
