Job summary

SimSpace Corporation in the United States is seeking a Cyber Range Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based cyber ranges that emulate enterprise environments across multiple clouds.

You will build automation, ensure isolation and security, and partner with researchers and trainers to deliver realistic simulations. Occasional travel and a strong focus on documentation and customer interaction are expected.

Qualifications

• Expertise in networking, virtualization, and cloud-based training environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Puppet, Ansible a plus).
• Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and VM deployment.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and security in isolated environments.
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based cyber ranges with multi-cloud support.
• Develop automation frameworks for rapid deployment and teardown using IaC.
• Create emulated cloud services when direct cloud integration is not feasible.
• Maintain security controls and network isolation to prevent range escape.
• Provide guidance and documentation for SimSpace software.
• Develop and maintain range architecture docs and troubleshooting guides.
• Occasional travel to customer or partner locations (up to 10%).
