Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Colorado (Denver area) seeks a cleared Systems Development Engineer to advance serverless and container services for US Government ADC.

You will build automation, CI/CD pipelines, and tooling to reduce toil, improve reliability, and enable global fault tolerance across AWS Lambda and container stacks in air-gapped environments. We expect depth in software engineering, familiarity with AWS products, and a current Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP required.
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing or architecting systems (reliability, scaling).
• Experience programming with at least one modern language (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby).
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Design automation, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines enabling safe delivery of Lambda and container services in isolated environments.
• Eliminate operational toil through self-service tools, automation, and scalable infrastructure.
• Analyze service inter-dependencies and configurations to drive permanent resolutions through code.
• Identify and resolve system variances that could affect major services globally.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability across distributed serverless and container infra.
• Collaborate with commercial service teams to implement ADC-specific adaptations.
