BJC is hiring for a Cloud Architect. This is a remote position (St. Louis only). We are looking for a highly technical resource with experience in various domains to facilitate and build cloud solutions.

Role Purpose

The Cloud Architect is responsible for creating secure, modern, resilient, and sustainable enterprise cloud architectures that align with BJC Health System’s goals. The Cloud Architect will lead efforts with other Solution Architects to define reference architectures, patterns, standards, and best practices. They will also research and evangelize emerging cloud technologies that could benefit BJC.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the design and development of complex cloud solutions, working closely with solution architects, engineers, and stakeholders. Define reference architectures, patterns, and standards to ensure consistency, security, and agility.
2. Maintain recognized expertise in Cloud technologies and provide leadership and mentorship to Solution Architects and Engineers in cloud principles and practices.
3. Leverage expertise in compute, storage, networking, security, application development, data management, and integration to design and optimize scalable IT solutions.
4. Communicate effectively to gain buy-in and ensure adherence to architecture standards.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Experience: 5-10 years in relevant roles
