BJC is hiring for a Cloud Architect. This is a remote position (St. Louis only). We are looking for a highly technical resource that has experience in various domains to facilitate and build cloud solutions.

Role Purpose

The Cloud Architect is responsible for creating complex secure, modern, resilient and fiscally/technically sustainable enterprise cloud architecture/solutions that meet BJC Health System goals and objectives. The Cloud Architect will lead efforts working with other Solution Architects to define Cloud reference architectures, patterns, standards and best practices. In addition, the Cloud Architect is responsible for researching, evaluating and evangelizing emerging Cloud technologies and trends that could drive value for BJC Health System.

Responsibilities

Leads the design and development of complex cloud architecture and solutions working closely with solution architects, engineers and other stakeholders. Define reference architectures, patterns, principles and best practices to drive consistency, resiliency, security, business agility and speed of deployment.

Actively maintains recognized expert level Cloud knowledge and provides technical leadership in Cloud Architecture and mentors other Solution Architects and Engineers in Cloud principles, patterns, architecture and service offerings.

Leverages a strong technical background in compute, storage, networking, security, application development, data management, and integration to design, implement, and optimize scalable IT solutions.

Uses effective verbal and written communication skills to gain buy-in and drive adoption of and adherence to architecture standards.
