Job summary

Brigham Young University (BYU) seeks a part‑time Business Application Administrator to provide production systems support, configuration, release management, and API integrations. The role collaborates with IT staff, end users, and vendors to ensure reliable cloud‑based services and effective issue resolution.

The candidate should bring a Bachelor’s degree, strong problem‑solving and communication skills, and experience with training and system administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum education/experience required: Bachelor’s Degree.
• Expertise in software‑development processes and methods.
• High level of PC proficiency: spreadsheets, word processing, large document management.
• Preferred: 3 years cloud‑based software administration experience.
• Training experience and ability to teach system users.
• Ability to move from task to task efficiently and to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for multiple mission‑critical production systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain and manage development, test, staging, and production environments.
• Coordinate vendor software releases and testing; install new versions.
• Migrate applications from test to production environments and develop test scripts.
• Create user training materials and deliver end‑user training.
• Document maintenance steps and coordinate changes with vendors.
