Job summary

Brigham Young University (BYU) is seeking a part-time Talent Development Office Manager (28 hours/week) to provide comprehensive administrative and program coordination support. The role oversees onboarding, training logistics, budgeting, and Workday Talent system tasks, while assisting in leadership development activities.

The position involves managing budgets, campus relationships, event coordination, and student employee supervision, with responsibilities spanning from front desk operations

Qualifications

  • Three years of administrative, customer service, project coordination, or related experience.
  • Experience with Workday Talent system.
  • Familiarity with employee engagement surveys, leadership 360-degree feedback tools, and performance review processes.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Experience with Brightspot or other website editing software.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong budgeting and research skills.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics for training programs, department initiatives, and onboarding sessions.
  • Schedule trainings, prepare materials, and set up spaces.
  • Maintain training records and program metrics.
  • Assist with New Employee Orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Coordinate leadership 360-degree feedback assessments and reporting.
  • Assist in engagement survey reports and insights for leadership.
  • Ensure smooth operation of talent development programs.
  • Organize logistics for Talent Development events, workshops, and staff engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain registration tools for events.
  • Schedule and track department vehicle usage and travel arrangements.
  • Assist with purchasing, budgeting, and financial reconciliations.
  • Support Workday Talent system maintenance and data integrity.
  • Generate reports on program performance and attendance trends.
  • Assist student employees hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and supervision.
  • Handle special projects and occasional website/ department updates.
