Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Missoula, MT is seeking an Apparel Processing Outfitter to manage the receipt, processing, and stocking of apparel merchandise from dock to sales floor. You will use the inventory system and follow Visual Merchandising standards to keep backrooms organized.

Responsibilities

• Process apparel merchandise at receipt using the inventory system.
• Replenish merchandise to the sales floor as required by Visual Merchandising standards.
• Stay knowledgeable of advertised sales to assist backroom organization and replenishment.
• Unload trucks as needed.
• Assist with pricing maintenance and signage of merchandise.
• Keep work area clean, neat, organized and stocked with supplies.
• Ensure backstock merchandise remains organized and accessible.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and create a pleasant shopping experience.
• All other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Apparel Processing Outfitter is responsible for the overall processing of all apparel merchandise shipments from receipt of goods to stocking on Sales Floor & Receiving.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Effectively processes all apparel merchandise at time of receipt, adhering to all Visual Merchandising & MPS Standards, and utilizing the inventory management system. 50%
• Systematically replenishes merchandise to the sales floor as required per the Visual Merchandising Standards utilizing the inventory management system. 10%
• Remains knowledgeable of advertised sales to promote effective backroom organization and replenishment. 10%
• Unloads trucks as needed. 10%
• Assists with pricing maintenance and signage of merchandise. 5%
• Keeps work area clean, neat, organized and well stocked with supplies. 5%
• Ensure backstock merchandise remains organized and accessible. 5%
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service and ensures a pleasant shopping experience for all guests. 5%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Ability to use company computer systems and devices such as System Two, RF/Gizmo devices & Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to process and organize information to include plan-o-grams, visual guides & merchandising standards.
• Ability to review replenishment reporting to organize merchandise to fill the sales floor.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other outfitters.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers.

• Regularly walks, stands, and does computer work.
• Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.
• Seldom/Never sits.
• Additional Physical Requirements Ability to use ladders and/or lifts as needed.

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems.
