Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking an Apparel Processing Outfitter in Missoula, MT, to manage the end-to-end processing of apparel merchandise—from receipt to stocking on the sales floor and in receiving.

The role emphasizes accurate handling per Visual Merchandising and MPS standards, routine replenishment, and strong customer service to enhance the guest experience. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Process apparel merchandise at time of receipt following Visual Merchandising & MPS Standards.
• Replenish merchandise to the sales floor per Visual Merchandising Standards.
• Stay knowledgeable of advertised sales to optimize backroom organization.
• Assist with unloading trucks as needed.
• Assist with pricing maintenance and signage of merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized work area with supplies.
• Keep backstock organized and accessible.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a pleasant shopping experience.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Apparel Processing Outfitter is responsible for the overall processing of all apparel merchandise shipments from receipt of goods to stocking on Sales Floor & Receiving.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Effectively processes all apparel merchandise at time of receipt, adhering to all Visual Merchandising & MPS Standards, and utilizing the inventory management system. 50%
• Systematically replenishes merchandise to the sales floor as required per the Visual Merchandising Standards utilizing the inventory management system. 10%
• Remains knowledgeable of advertised sales to promote effective backroom organization and replenishment. 10%
• Unloads trucks as needed. 10%
• Assists with pricing maintenance and signage of merchandise. 5%
• Keeps work area clean, neat, organized and well stocked with supplies. 5%
• Ensure backstock merchandise remains organized and accessible. 5%
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service and ensures a pleasant shopping experience for all guests. 5%
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

• Ability to use company computer systems and devices such as System Two, RF/Gizmo devices & Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to process and organize information to include plan-o-grams, visual guides & merchandising standards.
• Ability to review replenishment reporting to organize merchandise to fill the sales floor.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other outfitters.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers.

Regularly walks, stands, and does computer work.
