Job summary

Finance of America is seeking a Closing Specialist to finalize FHA reverse mortgage loans. You will ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements and review data for fees and documents.

The role requires at least 3 years in mortgage banking or closing, familiarity with Loan Origination Systems, and strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork. The base salary ranges from $50,000 to $63,000 with full benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Closing FHA Reverse Mortgage loans in compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and loan terms.
  • Reviewing data for compliance fees and documents.
  • Preparing loan for Closing and ensuring Closing checklist items are met.
  • Ensuring ReverseVision fields are complete and accurate prior to closing.
  • Re-disclosing loans in compliance with RESPA/TILA requirements.
  • Meeting productivity standards and following up on trailing documents.

Responsible for closing FHA Reverse Mortgage loans, ensuring compliance with established policies, regulatory requirements, and loan terms. This includes reviewing data for compliance fees and documents.

  • Prepares loan for Closing, including ensuring that all items on Closing checklist have been met.
  • Ensures all fields in ReverseVision are complete and accurate prior to closing.
  • Re-discloses loans in compliance with all RESPA/TILA requirements.
  • Understands and evaluates the closing packages for accuracy.
  • Hasthe ability to close a minimum number of 120 loans per month.
  • Meets productivity standards as set by the company.
  • Follow up and ensure that all trailing documents have been obtained prior to shipping.
  • Attends and participates in regular and ad hoc departmental meetings.
  • Follows the Company standards for delivery of integrity, client focus, teamwork and respect for each individual in every interaction.
  • Exhibits observable sense of urgency in the execution of all job functions and duties.
  • Meets or exceeds levels of Customer Service delivery established by the Company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION - REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma

EDUCATION - PREFERRED

  • BA - Bachelor of Arts

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is ($50,000 - $63,000) inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members in determining any final offer.
