Job summary

Ares Management Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented CLO specialist to support ongoing administration and management of collateralized loan obligations on our Insurance Solutions team. You will monitor cash movements, manage liability activity, and reconcile transaction data with trustees and internal teams.

The role requires a finance/accounting background, 4–7 years in structured finance or related fields, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in structured finance, CLOs, leveraged loans, fund accounting, or trustee operations.
• Strong understanding of CLO structures, cash waterfalls, liability tranches, trustee reporting, and collateral administration.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to reconcile complex financial data across sources.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with large datasets and transaction reports.
• Clear communication with internal teams and external counterparties.
• Strong organizational skills and deadline-driven work style.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily cash activity across CLO vehicles, including interest, principal, fees and reinvestments.
• Track cash inflows/outflows and ensure accurate reflection across systems and reports.
• Support management of CLO liability and structures, including accordion features and upsizing.
• Coordinate with trustees, collateral admins, banks, arrangers, and internal teams for reporting and settlement.
• Reconcile trustee reports, payment dates, waterfall calculations, and collateral/liability balances.
• Assist internal teams with ad hoc CLO performance and liquidity analyses.
