Overview:

As part of the Loan Market Solutions Division, the CLO & Loan Administration team provides trustee & custodian services to sophisticated loan asset managers. Wilmington is responsible for tracking and maintaining all daily activity including the collection of payments and investor waterfall distributions. Additionally, the team monitors and reports on various portfolio compliance requirements related to the underlying portfolio asset attributes. Primary Responsibilities:

Continuous reassessment and evaluation of processes is engrained in the team’s DNA. We take a collaborative approach to identifying, assessing, developing, and implementing solutions across the platform. Additionally, we anticipate special projects and initiatives to be a regular occurrence for team members to participate in.

You’ll gain experience by:

1. Supporting the Relationship Manager with oversight of client relationships
2. Performing daily cash application and position reconciliation
3. Performing daily and monthly tie-outs of underlying loan characteristics
4. Liaising with auditors, underwriters, CLO managers, private debt managers, and other parties involved
5. Assisting with global asset set up and maintenance
6. Performing trade and wire processing for daily trading activity
7. Strategizing, recommending, and implementing innovative ideas for improved daily workflows
8. Exposure across entire lifecycle of servicing loan clients including account setup, KYC procedures, global asset setup & maintenance, notice processing, warehouse reporting, CLO / Compliance Reporting & waterfall payments
9. Understanding and adhering to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
10. Promoting an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
11. Maintaining M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
12. Completing other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 year relevant work experience with direct client contact, OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 8 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience with direct client contact.

Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Accounting.

Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office, SQL.

Exceptional organizational skills with an attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with a strong balance of qualitative and quantitative skills.

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, as well as contribute on an individual basis.

Familiarity with various loan products – Bi-Lateral ABL Facilities, SMAs, Private Funds, MM & BSL CLOs, Business Development Companies.

Professional work experience at CLO Trustee, Loan Agent/Bank, Middle Office Provider or CLO Manager.

System / Application experience - Clearpar, Solvas/CDO Suite, SEI, Wall Street Office, LoanIQ.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $66,979.45 - $111,632.42 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
