Job summary

High Point & Affiliated Organizations seeks a Part-Time Clinician 2 for Brockton Addiction Treatment Center. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with at least one year of supervised substance abuse counseling experience.

Schedule Thursday-Sunday, 1pm-9:30pm, with duties including assessments, counseling, and discharge planning. Responsibilities include maintaining licensure, HIPAA compliance, direct care, and coordination of aftercare services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in related field.
• Minimum of one year of supervised substance abuse counseling experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and submits current licensure or certificate required for the role.
• Comply with Federal Regulations (42 CFR Part 2) and HIPAA.
• Participate in Treatment Team Meetings and maintain caseload.
• Provide direct care: assessments, individual counseling, discharge planning, treatment plans, daily notes, daily groups.
• Maintain patient medical records professionally and promptly.
• Link patients to aftercare services prior to discharge.
• Attend unit meetings and case conferences as directed.
• Continued education in substance abuse field and related courses.
• Coordinate authorizations with insurance as needed.

Program/Location: Brockton Addiction Treatment Center (BATC) / Brockton
Education/Licensure: Bachelor's degree
Pay Range: $29 - $34/hr (commensurate with experience)
Status: Part Time
Schedule: Thursday-Sunday, 1pm-9:30pm

High Point has programs located throughout southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Clinician Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• An understanding of the relationship between substance abuse and mental health issues and/or self-help programs
• Diagnostic, assessment skills and case management ability

Clinician Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains and submits any current Licensure or Certificate necessary for the performance of the position
• Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2,Confidentialityof Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations
• Participate in Treatment Team Meetings
• Maintain assigned caseload; Providing direct care to patients – including assessments of the new patients, individual counseling, discharge planning, treatment plans, daily progress notes, daily groups, group note completion and completion of bio-psychosocial assessments
• Responsible for each assignedpatientsmedical records. All records are to be professional, complete and thorough with entries made in atimely manners
• Provide direct care to the patients. This care will include, but not limited to, individual counseling, group facilitation, lectures, orientation for newpatient’s. discharge and aftercare planning, and case management of patients assigned
• Responsible for linkingpatient’swith aftercare services prior to discharge and aiding the patient and his/her family access outpatient services when appropriate
• Attend all unit, facility meetings and case conferences as directed by the Clinical Director
• Attend mandatory trainings
• Responsible for continued education in the field of substance abuse and related courses
• Responsible for contacting the insurance company for authorization, as needed
• Utilize walkie-talkie as campus responder
• Utilize standards precautions at all times
• Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient’s rights
• Other duties as assigned by the Program Director, the Clinical Director, and/or the Senior Clinician
