High Point & Affiliated Organizations seeks a part-time Clinician for the Meadowbrook Acute Treatment Services in Brockton. The role offers $29-$34/hr commensurate with experience and a Fri-Sun 1:00–9:30p schedule (2nd shift).

Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health is required. Responsibilities include direct patient care, assessments, individual counseling, group facilitation, discharge planning, case management, and maintaining timely records in compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health field.
• Minimum of one year of supervised substance abuse counseling experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of substance abuse and mental health issues.
• Ability to facilitate groups and patient education.
• Strong boundaries and ethics awareness.
• Proficient computer skills and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current licensure or certificate for the position.
• Provide direct patient care including assessments and counseling.
• Discharge planning, treatment planning, and daily progress notes.
• Group sessions, bio-psychosocial assessments, and case management.
• Link patients to aftercare services and community resources.
• Attend unit meetings and mandatory trainings.
• Ensure HIPAA and confidentiality compliance in all duties.
• Collaborate with the treatment team and clinical directors.

High Point has programs offering Acute Treatment Services (detoxification) for clients seeking voluntary Inpatient Substance Use Treatment and Clinical Stabilization Services

Clinician Requirements

Clinician Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains and submits any current Licensure or Certificate necessary for the performance of the position
• Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations
• Participate in Treatment Team Meetings
• Maintain assigned caseload; Providing direct care to patients – including assessments of the new patients, individual counseling, discharge planning, treatment plans, daily progress notes, daily groups, group note completion and completion of bio-psychosocial assessments
• Responsible for each assigned patients medical records. All records are to be professional, complete and thorough with entries made in a timely manners
• Provide direct care to the patients. This care will include, but not limited to, individual counseling, group facilitation, lectures, orientation for new patient’s. discharge and aftercare planning, and case management of patients assigned
• Responsible for linking patient’s with aftercare services prior to discharge and aiding the patient and his/her family access outpatient services when appropriate
• Attend all unit, facility meetings and case conferences as directed by the Clinical Director
• Attend mandatory trainings
• Responsible for continued education in the field of substance abuse and related courses
• Responsible for contacting the insurance company for authorization, as needed
• Utilize walkie-talkie as campus responder
• Utilize standards precautions at all times
• Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient’s rights
• Other duties as assigned by the Program Director, the Clinical Director, and/or the Senior Clinician
