Job summary

Resources for Human Development in Claymont, DE is seeking a skilled Clinician to support recovery and growth within a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care model.

You will develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, conduct assessments, provide evidence-based psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety), and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
  • Experience conducting clinical assessments and developing treatment plans.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practices.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee individualized treatment plans and interventions in collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Conduct screenings and assessments using validated tools to evaluate behavioral health, trauma, substance use, and treatment needs.
  • Provide evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Therapy, Seeking Safety).
  • Lead treatment planning meetings, goal development, and recertification processes for individuals on caseload.
  • Provide clinical guidance and supervision to bachelor's-level staff.
  • Support crisis intervention efforts using a trauma-informed approach.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, assessments, and progress notes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing staff training.
  • Provide on-call crisis intervention services on a rotating basis.

What You'll Do

As a Clinician, you will:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee individualized treatment plans and interventions in collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

QualificationsRequired
  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Experience conducting clinical assessments and developing treatment plans.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented treatment practices.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred
  • Professional licensure or licensure eligibility (LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, or related credential).
  • Experience providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions in community or behavioral health settings.
  • Experience working with individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
Schedule
  • Full-Time
  • Flexible schedule based on program needs
  • Participation in an on-call rotation for crisis intervention services
  • Some evening or weekend hours may be required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Ability to travel for client-related services, meetings, training, and program activities as needed.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
