We are seeking Part-Time Clinical Instructors interested in teaching in our Bachelors of Science in Nursing program.

We are accepting applications for candidates interested in teaching in the following specialties:

  • Fundamental Nursing Skills - Focus on health promotion and patient care rehabilitation, with students providing direct patient care and applying the nursing process.
  • Complex Adult Health - Focus on adult patients with critical illnesses, integrating nursing, technological, and scientific knowledge with clinical judgment.
  • Capstone Final Clinical - Facilitates students' transition into professional nursing through experiential learning and clinical practicum.
  • Mental-Health Nursing - Emphasizes mental health, including anxiety, mood disorders, substance abuse, and community mental health resources.
  • Pediatric Nursing - Mentors students in clinical settings focusing on family-centered care for children from infancy to adolescence.
  • Adult Health (Medical-Surgical) Nursing - Focuses on adult patient care, health promotion, and managing acute and chronic conditions.
  • Maternal-Child Nursing - Emphasizes family-centered care in maternal and newborn health, including high-risk factors.
  • Community Health Nursing - Covers public health concepts, community assessment, and health promotion strategies.
  • Collaborative Health (Leadership) - Focuses on leadership and management for senior nursing students.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required at certain clinical sites.

In this role, the clinical instructor:

  • Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, and course objectives through clinical teaching.
  • Plans clinical experiences, supervises, and evaluates nursing students.
  • Provides feedback and remediation as needed.
  • Maintains current knowledge of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Develops clinical assignments tailored to student needs.
  • Grades assignments and assessments promptly.
  • May teach didactic content under supervision.
  • Communicates with course coordinators and reports issues accordingly.

Qualifications

We encourage candidates with:

  • A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
  • An unencumbered professional nursing license.
  • At least two years of recent professional experience as a registered nurse.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required at some sites.
  • Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
  • Excellent communication skills and subject matter expertise.
  • A commitment to serving students and colleagues with respect and care.

Additional Information

Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Campus:

Compensation ranges from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as course type, experience, location, and responsibilities. Our Talent Acquisition Team is available to discuss salary requirements.
