Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, GA seeks a Clinical Support Associate to provide clerical and patient care assistance on the units under RN supervision. You will maintain patient records, unit supplies, equipment, and facilitate communications across the care team.

This role serves adolescent to geriatric patients and performs basic patient care within defined scope while maintaining safety practices and collaborating with staff to ensure timely responses to patient needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or high school transcript showing completion of sophomore level.
• One year experience as nursing assistant, patient care technician, or unit assistant required.
• Nursing students who completed Foundations of Nursing are eligible without experience.
• Able to work with nursing staff and general public; adapt to changing duties.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and reports basic patient physiological data (vital signs, weight, urine/stool).
• Monitors fluids intake and output and documents accordingly.
• Responds to patient call lights and directs requests to appropriate staff.
• Organizes patient care and prioritizes tasks per physician and nursing orders.
• Performs routine unit assistant duties and maintains patient charts.
