Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and prior experience in a medical office setting, including phone handling and appointment scheduling.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and flexibility.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while using professional judgment and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Answer clinic phones, monitor call queues, and direct calls to appropriate team members in a timely manner.
• Familiarize yourself with current clinical trials to accurately inform patients about study details (compensation, doctor visits, lab results, study medication).
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments based on availability and written protocols, ensuring patient preferences are accommodated.
• Register new patients, answer their questions, and direct them to appropriate clinical staff when necessary.
• Perform computer data entry related to patient registration, scheduling, and other assigned programs.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area and lobby for patients and visitors.
• Assist with general office duties, including distributing mail, faxes, and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Support the Clinic Supervisor with additional duties and responsibilities as required.
