Job summary

Vail Health in Avon, CO is seeking a Clinical Trainer to design and deliver training programs for clinical staff across specialties. You will oversee the entire training lifecycle, from onboarding to ongoing education, ensuring competency and compliance with healthcare standards.

The role focuses on developing curricula, coordinating with unit management, and maintaining records. Candidates should have strong teaching skills, healthcare knowledge, and a commitment to patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Two years of adult instructional experience required.
• Knowledge of multi-specialty office operations and EMR usage is required.
• Three years of patient care and administrative duties.
• Expert knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA rules.
• Excellent writing, communication, public speaking, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and deliver training programs for new and existing clinical staff.
• Create training for Patient Care Technicians to transition to Clinical Assistants after licensure.
• Provide training during initial hire phases and ongoing for Patient Care Technicians.
• Collaborate with medical providers and unit management to plan curricula.
• Provide CLIA and OSHA training and ensure compliance.
• Create an in-service CE schedule and document records.
• Model Just Culture and organizational values.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and ensure HIPAA compliance.
