Job summary

Merit Medical Systems, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Training Specialist to lead comprehensive clinical training across domestic and international settings.

You will develop curricula, deliver didactic content, and serve as the clinical expert for a wide range of Merit products. Responsibilities include creating digitized training materials, collaborating with Product Managers on in-servicing videos, and supporting sales through expert education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Six years hands-on medical experience; Endoscopy/general Surgery preferred
• Excellent communication and training-development skills
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities
• Proficient with standard software for training materials

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive training programs providing up-to-date product information to customers and personnel
• Deliver content during didactic portions of training
• Provide case support to trained customers domestically and internationally
• Conduct assessment testing and develop training curricula to improve knowledge and skills
• Define protocol and assist field assessment of product market research trials
• Develop home-study training courses to maintain clinical expertise in field sales
• Conduct ongoing staff training and provide clinical feedback to resolve issues
• Serve as clinical expert for the company
• Standardize and digitize training materials
• Collaborate with Product Managers to create sales training and in-servicing videos
• Answer clinical questions from doctors, technicians, and sales reps
• Support sales/marketing by in-servicing key customers on Merit products
• Train clinicians in the field and troubleshoot product issues
• Assess clinical competency of new employees and provide feedback
• Write technical papers for emerging markets and niches
• Coordinate and execute symposiums and other clinical education events
• Develop CEU credits to augment sales
• Perform other duties as required
