Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Clinical Therapist II to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. You will conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, craft individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based behavioral health interventions to patients and families.

You will document and review plans per licensure rules, collaborate with caregivers, and contribute to safe discharges while mentoring student clinicians in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Master's degree in Counseling or related field.
• Minimum of two years of post-licensure work experience in the same field.
• Ability to perform psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention theory and application across settings; knowledge of disease management and differential diagnoses.
• Ability to work as part of a team and build collaborative relationships.
• Excellent follow-through, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Deliver behavioral health treatment (individual and/or group) and share information with staff, families, and approved agencies.
• Complete documentation and reports in a timely manner.
• Adhere to licensure board requirements and department policies.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and care teams to plan discharge and aftercare.
• Supervise students and assist with interviewing and orientation of new staff.
• Identify patient population needs and tailor care to age, culture, and language.
