Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Full Time Technician I for Northern State Prison, located in Newark, NJ. The Technician I participates as a member of the clinical and administrative medical team at the Prison.

This role requires CMA/EMT/CNA certification, at least two years of healthcare experience, and CPR certification. Onsite work arrangement with a 40-hour work week and scheduled day shifts. Rutgers provides comprehensive benefits and robust training opportunities.

Formación

• Valid CMA, EMT, or CNA certification required.
• At least two years of progressively responsible healthcare experience.
• CPR certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Takes vital signs, height and weight and documents in EMR.
• Assists physician/APP with procedures and prepares inmate for examination.
• Obtains specimen collection and handling including drawing blood.
• Maintains/assists in cleaning, sterilization and securing of equipment in the Health Service Unit.
• Manages supply stock and orders in a timely manner.
• Prepares and aggregates medication orders and forwards to pharmacy.
