Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a Clinical Technician to join the ICU-Cardiovascular team in Falls Church, VA. The role is full-time with day and night rotations, and shift hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with days varying and rotating weekends/holidays.

The position emphasizes direct patient care under RN supervision, effective communication with the care team, and maintaining professional conduct within a high‑quality healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year working as a Clinical Technician; or completing acute care clinical rotation and active nursing program enrollment.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or within 90 days of hire.
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.

Training

Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:

• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM - 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
• Virtual training modules.
• On-unit shifts

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year working as a Clinical Technician; or completing acute care clinical rotation, and actively enrolled in a nursing program
